David & I established Fendalton Eye Clinic in 1996. As an optometrist I have been involved in assessing patients suitability for corrective laser eye treatments & the care of post-operative patients. Over the years I have been involved in staff training, establishing protocols & procedures to ensure that as a team we deliver excellence in patient care.I grew up in Canterbury. Graduated as an Optometrist from Auckland University in 1991. After graduation I worked as an Optometrist in the Eye Department at Auckland Hospital, which gave me exposure to interesting & challenging ophthalmic conditions. I then travelled to London, after a period of study & exams I gained the Member of British College of Optometrist qualification. I worked as an Optometrist in London and in the contact lens department of Moorfields Eye Hospital. We then moved to the USA where I was involved in ocular pathology & research. I then worked as an optometrist in private practice in Melbourne before returning to Christchurch in 1996.
I have five wonderful children. We enjoy spending time together walking the Canterbury foothills, biking, skiing & playing tennis. After a skiing injury I discovered mountain biking & relish any opportunity to head for the hills on my bike.
